UK license is nothing but a pain in the ass and the market is so saturated there I can't see pinnacle drop a solid customer base to chase that. That license carries a lot less weight than most would think.
I don't necessarily disagree with you but new management may feel differently.

[QUOTE=Juice;1824894]1. About 2- 3 years behind schedule. I was expecting this move upstream long ago. Dropping the "grey areas" is the right first move.

    Well said DG.
He is saying exact opposite of what you said. Like I said I went overboard but I don't like ultimatums when all I'm expressing is concern not even directed at you.

You are going to do it anyway because you can't resist the temptation to bump your own threads. You are in a lifetime love affair with yourself.

I know this because you consistently churn out paragraphs for what you could be said in just a few sentences. Juice, is Juice's favorite author.

    2. America, or maybe more correctly Las Vegas is as close to exchange betting as you can possibly get. Pinnacle by some stretch has the best intituitive teaching platform there is. The mythical pinnacle lean is the only thing that stopped the vast majority from making the fianl leap into true exchange betting. I broke down there whole platform pitch perfect back in 2011 in this very fourm. Do not get me started on the lean thing.

Having said that Howid, Akilles and just a few others have ever shown they understand this aspect what so ever.

    3. Way back in 06 I wrote up where this was all going The Pinnacle Fair model. Then one day not one but two threads were started called, Who will buy Pinnacle. The great JJ Gold turned down cold, a full limit bet on who I said it would be, William Hill. That will still happen. Thats where this is going. Back in the day Pinnacle knew it could not enter the US alone and would need a partner and so they started shopping themselves. I will back that up with a at Fiest back in early 05 we saw WH coming all the way and knew they would land at Ceasers and somehow BF would get cut out.

Somewhere along the line Bet Fair got kicked out of the club. Looking back I have to assume they were making deals behind peoples back and trying to muscle off someone we all know and love, whom just happen to have thier own ideas about how things were going to go. AHHHH...those were the days.

Having said that when you put these three together what you get is what it has always been for almost 30 years now, Horse Racing. Always has been, always will be. I said it before in 06 and 11 say hello to Will Pinnacle.

Any one thinking this is about sports betting has it very wrong. I have followed around the elder of all this for a long time and have told thier stories like I was there and never has this been about sports or sports betting. All they think about is basis points and horses. Horses and basis points.

They are not keen on point spread sports what so ever. Worse, the vast majority of Americans are to stupid to bet on sports where you just have to win the game and dont know free money when they see it. Exchanges have to give it away at some point to make the system work correctly.

We would rather play kill the man and go down with the ship than back lay for a free fin. This aint about sportsbetting. Your principals have no paticence for the stupidity. I can tell you that for a stone cold fact.

Parlay cards is all you are going to get and only because its just like a lottery and can fit inside the "Its just like a Utlity" pitch they oh so love.

Consequently one shouldn’t be surprised that if the company announces it is withdrawing from certain grey markets like Canada as soon as they are given any indication that they have the green light for a UKGC license.

    yikes. say it ain't so.
