With the covid/political thread now closed what do you want to discuss? Every other thread gets next to no discussion here and like it or not the issues that everyone wants to debate relate to politics, covid restrictions and other current events. Other than that, the only time there is any forum interest on MW is for the bowl contest. I'll be honest, if the only threads open relate to the news clips Clev posts, Brian Edwards' picks and similar then I have no interest and will come back to MW in Mid December for my free Cwissy paid bowl entry.

LOL. I knew this was coming. Hardly with a replacement thread.

Not a replacement thread but I'm being serious. If the moderators on this forum have decided that politics, covid and other current events like the Rittenhouse trial are off the table then what do you want to talk about?

You know what since it seems sports and gambling are the only things anyone believes is worthwhile, even though there are rarely any posts in those threads I'll start. So Niklas Edin has been struggling a bit in European curling of late. I really like Benoit Shwartz' chances and will be betting Switzerland to beat Sweden in the European Curling Championships starting Saturday. Do you concur?

28,000 views, I still look at it almost daily.
Politics, trials, scandals, I'm in, just tired of the Covid thing, maybe it's just me.

I agree to some extent. I stopped following the number of daily cases of covid and really don't care who is vaccinated or not at this point. Those who haven't gotten it won't get it and boosters are irrelevant. But political ramifications due to covid, i.e. world travel rules, vaccine mandates, new technologies to combat the virus, those who died from it (i.e. Colin Powell) and the fallout politically etc. I think is very interesting.

Btw, I was curious and the last post to get any replies besides that one was on Monday relating to Pitt blowing the lead and screwing a bunch of us on the survivor contests.

I didn’t know it was locked and am surprised someone did that without telling me.
But, I will admit that whoever did it did me a favor….it was getting under my skin when all of that talk didn’t stay in that thread….which is where it should continue, IMO.

If it’s all in ONE thread, then people know what to expect if they open and read the thread.

Ok I just went and see that it was Stevo and I agree with what he did…..

how about we keep it and you enter it at your own risk. I would only look at that thread once a wk or so because I disagreed with some of what others would say but I do not want to judge anyone on their politics, vaccines, covid, etc…therefore staying out of it was better for me….do you guys get what I’m trying to say, I don’t want it to come out wrong

How about starting 2 threads - one covid thread where we can move all the covid related talk in there and people who are sick of hearing talk of covid can avoid it and a different current events thread where all the other stuff in that thread can go. Obviously a lot of the topics cross both threads but you can make a judgement call.

One thing I was going to post in there before it closed was that the U.S. has reopened the border with Canada, and Canada has lifted the required PCR test for trips less than 72 hours. So I was getting tickets for the Bills Monday night game against New England on December 6th but it said I had to show proof of vaccines to buy the tickets and enter. I was curious for anyone who had to show proof of vaccines to enter games, casinos, restaurants etc. in their state what proof is required exactly. I have an app that shows I got both Pfizer shots with the last one in June but do I also need other ID to still prove it's me and how long before the start do I have to be there if they will be doing that much checking?

-I like the "Enter at Your Own Risk", it is a legendary thread, sometimes when you see an accident ahead, shouldn't, but you just have to look, then wish you didn't..

My intent wasn't to be Cancel Guy, I like how nobody really gets their feelings hurt, especially Cwissy.

Oh, I had something to talk about.

My best buddy calls me and says his wife took 135K out of their bank account, texted him to not come to the house, or she's calling the cops..
Childhood sweathearts, married probably 35 years,, told him I bet she's been on Christian Mingle.

-I said he should just let the 135K go, and cut your losses, don't waste more on a lawyer..

I felt comfortable doing it because I do know Clevfan is tired of it and Cwissy said maybe stop people from commenting.

I also knew Clevfan could read and do what she thinks is best.

So carry on with whatever she decides.

I vote current event thread as I brought up rittenhouse but a separate Covid thread.

I would say free for all fine normally and leave it open.

Like Baller I am just tired of wading thru Covid stuff to post about Rittenhouse.

Or make the fight thread Covid only And start a new current events Cleve. Who better than you?

Depends which state he lives in. Different states have different divorce rules. If he lets it go in some states then she could take him for everything and drag it on for years. In other states the rules are simple and a lawyer could settle the situation in a few weeks. I know if it happened to me I would hire a lawyer, not so much to keep my share but to make sure it doesn't drag on forever if divorce is inevitable.

I don’t want to do it myself. To much good stuff in there to fade away. Keep it for Covid.
