Looks like there will be football but it will not result in any legitimate championship conclusion. Too chaotic and disjointed as well as all the schools not playing. Better than nothing. I'll take it. SEC champion will be the unofficial National Champion. They should be able to pull it off intra conference.

Oh boy the numbers are dropping even though they are far higher than any other country in terms of cases and deaths and only 250,000 to 300,000 Americans will likely lose their lives this year. Perhaps, and maybe they will find an effective vaccine or treatment before then. But the virus seems to be weakening. Regardless, why would you not try to do everything to prevent getting it - and I don't mean sheltering in place but simply social distancing where possible and wearing masks? Chances are that if you live long enough you'll get diabetes, but why would you not do everything to try and delay getting it as much as possible?

There is likely to be only one playoff despite the Big Ten and Pac-12 attempting to play in spring 2021. It's unclear how it would even work if a second playoff was added this spring. That committee source was asked about two playoffs, one each after fall 2020 and spring 2021.
